"Greed captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit."
God I love to gamble. Sports, slots and poker..... Especially poker. I can play all day. You know your a degenerate gambler when you sit down at the table already thinking about how much money you plan on winning before stopping. I've even thought about how I can make poker my second job and my supplemental income.
I guess its good to have confidence in yourself, no matter what it is that you are confident of, but its kind of scary to have those kinds of thoughts. Greed can make you broke. But I do love the challenge that comes with the game of Poker. Especially when it comes to being at a casino, where they are so good at taking your money through slots and blackjack. At least if I lose money in poker, its to another person, and not "the house".
Although, I think I would be much better off in life if I worked as a dealer. This is like the greatest job ever. All you do is deal out cards, and no matter who wins the hand, it has become somewhat of a common courtesy for the winner to "tip" the dealer. I think dealers are the smartest people in the room at these casinos. (other then the owners, that is).
So basically, I know what I am getting myself into here, but I just can't help myself. That's why I found myself out in the middle of nowhere last night trying to win me enough money for a BMW or something. I did win a few bucks. However, its certainly not enough for a new car, but it is enough to make me wanna go back and do it again. See you at the tables.
