You haven't experienced halloween until you experience it in West Hollywood.
Words Can not truly describe what I witnessed in West Hollywood on the Night of Halloween this weekend.
First things first..........God bless all the gay boys in this town for making life so entertaining. There's just nothing like seeing men dressed as Lucille ball, Marilyn Monroe and of course Tina Turner. I would talk about the boys dressed as cowboys brokeback mountain style but you knew that would be a given, so why bother.
One I found really interesting were the guys dressed as Billy Mays, with the collar shirt, cacky pants and an OXYCLEAN logo.... I thought I would see more Michael Jackson costumes, but this was West Hollywood, so when It comes to outfits, less is more. And of course, what would a night out on the town in such a parade be without at least one chick being taken away in a ambulance for being drunk off her a$$ and/or high as a kite.
At one point, my woman and I just stood against a window of a business and people-watched for over a half an hour and saw things that children should just not see......(I also bring this up because there were people who brought their kids to this thing, and were there after 10pm........are you kidding me!!!)
I'll tell you something else about gay boys, they don't seem to mind when you put plastic objects on their bare chests and slap their butts with it.... (I of course know this from watching the guy next to my woman doing it the whole time with his devil pitchfork)...
Oh yeah, I also learned something new.......those Hare Krishna people also seem to love Halloween, because they were out there in full force singing what sounds like the only song they sing, which involves basically singing the words Hare Krishna over and over again. Good for them. Rock on !!!
All in all, I don't think I can come up with any other times I went to a place with that many cheery and happy people in my life. I have always known Halloween to be that scary day of year where people yell out boo (and kids in my day went around trying to hit people with eggs). But in West Hollywood, its about prancing around, singing, wearing as little as possible (thankfully, there were I think some decent number of actual 'women' also wearing skimpy outfits) all in the name of art, joy, and happiness. You go WEHO !!!
