Enough with the 'tips' already !!!
So I was watching some ridiculous reality (but actually completely fake) TV show, and one storyline was about a waitress crying because the customer only gave her a $200 tip after spending $3,000 at the place. This got me thinking............Why the hell do we tip people at all for doing their god damn job?
I remember one day in college, my friend Corey took the time to clean up after himself at the table in the lunchroom before leaving, and he stated that he didn't want the janitor to have to clean up his mess. But isn't that the person's job.......To clean up trash........
Let's quickly go back to the first story. I have a question...............If I go to a restaurant, and my bill is $100, its good for me to give a 15% tip, which would be $15...........Now, what if............at the same restaurant............I end up buying more drinks, or food, or whatever, and my bill comes to $200.........Are you telling me that now I have to pay $30 !!! What the f*ck is the difference from what I did? I went to a restaurant, and "employees" took my order, cooked my food, made my drinks, and cleaned up after me......
Now let me be straight here, I am not saying this because I am a cheap person (poor, but not cheap). And I am also not upset with the employees themselves, because its not their fault......It's the fault of our Country and how we have decided to pay the people in our service industry.
When did we decide as a country (most other countries don't tip people) to pay all service industry employees a minimal wage and ask all of us to pay the rest in the form of tips..............Every time I go out to eat, part of me feels like I have part ownership in the place, because I am handing over money beyond what I payed for so that it goes directly into the hands of these employees.
Only in our society can a hot girl with a G.E.D. make more per year then a fat guy with a master's degree. You know what.......if you can't beat em, join em............I should work on my abs and muscles, quit my job helping special needs children and making a difference in their lives, and go be a waiter at a gay bar in an expensive restaurant in West Hollywood, because I can make twice what I make now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should tip 20% for bills over $60 as a standard, just fyi.
