Herschel Walker is a God among men.

Did anyone see the Mixed Martial Arts Fighting debut of 47 year old Herschel Walker tonight?  Let me tell you something about this man.  He reportedly taught himself how to read and write at an early age.  In High School, he once put up over 3,000 rushing yard in a season, also received an academic award.  He was always known to have a workout routine of over 1,000 push ups and 1,000 sit ups a day, and had a 2% body fat.  He is also said to sleep 4 hours a day and eat one meal per day, made of salad, soup and bread.  Is this guy even human?
So anyway, this man comes out tonight and whips up on a 26 year old fighter in three rounds, and looked as though he could have gone another 3 rounds.  There has to be something going on here.  Oh yeah, did I mention he states that he has 'multiple personality disorder' and doesn't even remember winning the Heisman Trophy in college?  Did I also mention that he has made more money off the field in investments then he ever did on the field, and actually donated the money he made tonight to a charity?  What is it like to be this man.  What does he see in the this world that others don't?  Do you think he even has the word "can't" in his vocabulary.
I wanted to talk about this man because I wanted to further shed some light on what it really means to feel power over yourself, your abilities, and the confidence to use those abilities to achieve any goal you have in life.  One thing I have learned from this man is that nothing is out of reach.  Nothing is impossible, and everything is available to us if we just try hard enough.
Makes me think of some of the thoughts Howard Stern has on his show whenever guys like Chuck Zito come into the studio.  Those thoughts are of the idea that guys like this would be leaders, kings and warriors in medieval times, with all the power in the world.  But you know what? I believe if you asked Herschel about this idea, he would probably say that he would be a humble servant of the people, and helper to others, and a shoulder to cry on for those in need.   Whatever the case, what he is to me is an inspiration.  He is someone who inspires me to better myself in every possible way, in my education, my personal health, and my spiritual well being.  They say you learn something new every day.  Consider this my newfound knowledge.  Reach for the stars people.  You might actually grab on to something special.
