Valentines Day.......... Time once again to overpay for stuff to show some love to one another.

Obviously, I will take some heat for this (and be called cheap), but I would like to know why we keep this tradition going? Especially when it can cost us so much extra money. Isn't it bad enough that we have birthdays, Christmas, Easter, New Years, and St. Patrick's Day to buy "stuff". Because............God Forbid your partner for life (or for the moment) goes without a gift on one of these days. Maybe those Jehovah Witness people have it right. Don't celebrate any of these occasions and treat each other right all year long (at a cheaper price)
Oh well, anyways, its Valentines Day, and I can be honest here. I already bought and presented my woman with her gifts (Thank god she is so low maintenance and doesn't need ridiculous amounts of material things to make her happy). And I truly am happy to do it. I just wish that our society did not come up with so many f*cking days of the year to where we are basically forced to express our 'true' feelings through buying of products.
The one main thing I can say about this day is that, more then just the idea of products, flowers, and chocolate, make sure you do what's most important this time of year. Make the one you love feel special. Make them your priority for the day, and make them as happy as they can possibly be. Loving is never easy, but its a lot easier then hating and overall jealousy of others. Make what you can of this day. And if you don't have someone special to share the day with in an intimate way, then spend some quality time with friends and family, and take care of someone else who is truly important and special................yourself................Happy Valentines Day everyone.
