Why do we care so much about the "HOLLYWOOD" sign?
Ok, so I just briefly read an article about some 'conservationists' who are working hard to raise $12.5 Million dollars to purchase land surrounding the famous sign in Hollywood, California so that newly built homes won't be built and take away from this f*cking masterpiece of art that is a bunch of old crumbling letters.
Ummm, why??? I'm not going to even bother arguing and complaining about why a group of morons who call themselves "conservationists" are fighting for such a cause, so I will stick to the basics of the financial and even moral responsibilities here.
With all the problems, issues and ongoing financial crisis and debt the state of California is in right now, shouldn't we be trying to find a better use of our time (and $12.5 million dollars). Also, won't we ever truly unite for a good cause, and maybe try to 'conserve' our most precious resource.....................human beings !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about running around and raising the money to create affordable housing, jobs, and medical research for those in need. Jesus Christ people !!!!! (wow, I just said that on Ash Wednesday) Won't we ever learn?
Well, if you can't beat em, join em.......right? Maybe one day, in like 20 years (what it would probably take to save the money on my salary out in LA) I will purchase my own property or a piece of land. And on that day, I will build something............out of popsicle sticks.........or a nice deck of cards...............and I will speak to others about its true essence and meaning, and how important the statement made is to our society and the world................And then....................after not paying the mortgage in order to spend the money on fancy porn and sports gambling, I will ask my followers (or cult, or "conservationists') to stand by me...............to keep my vision and words alive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and give me $12.5 million dollars to ensure that i will have that property (and popsicle sticks and/or deck of cards creation) all to my self.......................thank you in advance for your cooperation...............(and your money)................
