    Ok, so I have decided to rant against my fellow sports nerds of the past (and present) out there because of their insistence on taking as good of care of their sports cards as I have over the years.  I bring this up because of the fact that every time I read an article about this forgotten industry, I learn more and more about just how little my enormous collection of cards is now worth in the year 2010.  
    Like many young dopes out there in the 80s and 90s, I ran around buying up as many of these god damn cards as I could find (with my parents money of course).  And each time I felt like I scored the "card to have" in a certain pack, I would immediately put it in a special case (which was also purchased with parents money).
    I even remember purchasing the extremely sought after and famous Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck rookie card.  This was basically the highlight of my young life at the time (not like kids today who are getting regular sex from either kids their own age or their teachers).  Anyway, I remember paying somewhere close to $100 dollars for that card back in 1989.  So I just looked it up right now in 2010, and you know how much it is worth..................about $50.................... MOTHERFUCKER !!!!!!!!!!  Fuckin thing is over 20 years old, and it actually decrease in value more then half !!!!!!!!!!!
    So why did this happen?  Simple case of supply and demand.  Again, my fellow former or current sports nerds out there who purchased and collected these cards 20 years ago, have all kept every last one of these fucking things too.  And since everybody has it, nobody needs it.  Hence, no down payments on homes or cars for Ernest because his master plan at a young age of considering this a smart investment never panned out...................
    This will continue to make me upset..........And I don't really have anyone to blame............But I will try it anyways because it might make me feel better...............ok..............I blame my parents...............that's right.............There fault for not teaching me to invest in Microsoft, Pepsi, Google, or at least some fucking gold coins or something!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I'm done.......It's not really their fault...........I tried.........
