Home is where the heart is, but work is where the money is.
To me, there really is nothing more fascinating then the human mind, and the way we use it to control our behaviors, moods, motivations and talents.
I bring this up, because I always wonder what makes a person feel so "at home" in a random apartment they are living in at the time, but struggle daily and basically come close to having a panic attack each and every time they step into an office they are employed in on any given Monday.
What is it about us that helps to create a form of comfort and safety in our surroundings where we live, but at the same time create chaos, fear and anger in our surroundings where we go to make money.
Life itself can be a daily struggle, and yet we can always work hard to convince ourselves that all we need to do is make it till 5pm, so that we can just hop in the car, get through that horrible LA traffic, and finally reach that "safe haven" we call 'home'.
Why can't we use that same mentality when it comes to our daily arrival at work?...You know...that place where we actually get paid to be.
Maybe we should place that same motivational thought in our head to succeed in making it through traffic to get home that we do in our daily commute to work.
Work is where the money is...But the price of a salary should not come with a cost of your dignity, self respect and well being.
You can't always love what you do, but you can always put your heart into your work.
