Once again the NCAA proves my point about the joke of the so-called 'student' athlete and the REAL business of College Athletics.

Anyone been reading the news lately about NCAA football?  If not, let me fill you in.  People are trying to make more money.
I think its great that, during the same week, former 'student' athlete Reggie Bush and his former school he spent a few years at are being penalized for violating ohhhh so important rules on receiving any form of benefit from somebody, and then also there are close to 10 other school board of director people who are fighting to get their sports programs into other conferences throughout the nation to make themselves millions.
Think about what's going on here.  Schools in the state of Colorado, and possibly Texas and Oklahoma (among others) might be playing football in the future in the PAC 10 conference.  Know what "PAC" stands for.............Pacific...........as in...........the schools in that conference are all in the WEST COAST of the country !!  Now, i've never been good with Geography, but aren't Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma just a little bit East of places like California, Washington, and Arizona?
Soooooo, wouldn't that mean that the 'student' athletes in all sports for these schools now have to travel thousands of extra miles (during the school year of course) to play against the schools on the West coast?
Quick review of the situations of Reggie Bush and the NCAA.  Reggie allegedly got a few bucks thrown his way to enroll at USC.  This of course is a horrible violation of strict rules and guidelines against such a 'student' athlete who is to remain broke at his recruited school, play in front of up to $100,000 paying customers every Saturday, and watch as the stores around the country sell Jerseys and put their likeness and Jersey number on video games to make other people money.
Meanwhile, the people heading up the conferences of the schools that these athletes play for are currently in the process of making these kids now travel further out into the country in order to get better TV deals, bring in more paying customers from other schools, and generate increased revenue for the schools themselves.
And where is all this money going?  Definitely on stadiums, training facilities, and equipment (as well as making these Board of Directors of few bucks, I'm guessing of course)
Oh, wait, i'm sure they are also using some of this money on scholarships, right?  Thank goodness.  It's great to know that, every year, schools are allowed to offer 50+ kids the chance to go to a four year university free of charge.  Oh, wait, thats right, isn't it true that most of these kids never actually attend classes for those 4 years or actually graduate from the school !!!  What a joke.
My hats off to you Reggie Bush.  And here's to the thousands of 'student' athletes in the future who I hope get as much money, compensation, and pussy as they can from these shady ass schools to play for them.
