Some people have jobs, other people have careers. Which do you currently have?

If there is one thing I have ever truly learned in life, its that you never really stop learning.  I learn from every day life, every day experience, and every day just plain ole livin.  The other day I turned on ESPN (ok, i do that every day) and I saw a story about the return of legendary baseball announcer Bob Uecker back to the booth.  The guy is 75 years old, made movies, TV shows, and has called baseball games for over 40 years. And yet, after undergoing a god damn heart surgery a few months ago, he builds enough strength and decides to actually go back to work.  This got me thinking..............Why?
Chris Rock To me, It has a lot to do with a comedy routine Chris Rock did back in 2008 about the concept of some people having a career, and other people having a job.  He basically went on to say that all people with careers should shut the fuck up, and have a heart for those who only have jobs.  To me, it all makes sense.  A career is something you invest in.  You invest your time, hard work, education, skills and motivation to achieve in.  And a job..................... a job is that place you go to so you can at least earn enough fuckin money to avoid having to go back to living with your parents.
So think about it.  Are you currently working in your career profession, or are you working a job?  If you had any kind of decent money saved up right now, and you went through a heart surgery, would you be in a hurry to return to work?
I think about a lot of shit (due to my mind racing problem), and one of the things I always think about is this:  Would I rather make $75K working in an office all day stressing over deadlines, angry bosses and layoffs, or make $50K running my own small business, where I wave to customers in my corner store and watch ESPN on my 7 inch portable television.
I know my answer, do you know yours? Please respond back.
What do ya think a that?
