I'm all for self-expression and individuality, but this might be pushing it.

As a child, I remember the days when kids (and adults) would 'separate themselves from the pack' by listening to alternative music, wear baggy pants, and give themselves spikey hair.  Nowadays, I think we have, shall we say, found more creative ways to express ourselves.  Like this interesting fellow pictured above.
The point of the article featured on this clown that I read was that he was accused of assaulting someone.  With the premise being that someone who looks like that is probably better off not committing any crimes where there could possibly be a witness, because he may not be that hard to pick out of a lineup. For me, I went in a different direction in my thought process.
I started thinking about how hard many people try to be different.  On the one hand, I think its good to different.  You can't always follow the crowd, especially in the financial and employment world, because you end up in the "rat race" (read a book written by Robert Kiyosaki to learn more)
Anyway, point is that why do people in our newest 'generation' feel the need to shock and awe with their appearance?  Since I work in the social services field, I can come up with a million theories and thougths on what made this dope the man that he is today (unloved by his parents, picked on at school, low self esteem, etc. etc. )
Plus, if your going to go in this direction physically, do you always have to be so aggressive ?  Just one time, I would love to go into a church, convent, mosque, or kingdom hall (whatever your religion of choice) and receive the word of God from a man (or woman) who looks just like the guy pictured in this blog.  How cool would that be?
What do ya think a that?
