Football is upon us... Thank God.
Yeah, I know, I'm gettin kinda old to still be so into Football ( I can't wait to have a kid so I have an excuse) . But, really, is anything better then good old America Football ?
Time to enjoy some lazy days, layin on the couch, watching grown men knock each other around for our own personal entertainment. And, for me, its not just the games, its the media, announcers and so-called experts who also make it so interesting.
Am I the only one who finds it a little funny each and every time some football analyst goes on TV and announces that team "A" is a sleeper team this year..... only to watch them go 3-13.
Then there are the players who run, catch or throw a touchdown in a preseason game, and they are immediately declared stars. But I guess that is what life is all about, High Expectations. Nothing better then to tell the world on a daily basis that players like Derrel Revis of the NY Jets are the greatest of all time like Muhammad Ali, because it leads to them deciding that they need to be paid about a billion dollars a year now to grace us with their presence on a football field.
Such is life in our society. Put someone on a pedestal, and later get mad when they start to enjoy the view from the top. Here's a crazy idea that I have in regards to Football. Imagine this. You follow your favorite team, watch games with your children and family, bar b q once in a while, and enjoy the entertainment. And, oh yeah, stop bitchin about how much the players make, how much a guy sucks when he throws an interception, and for God sakes stop listening to these moronic "experts". They are men and women with jobs just like you and me.
What do ya think a that?
