    So apparently the billionaire owners of the NBA would like its millionaire players to start taking less money in the coming years.  Now, at first glance, I can almost take the side of the owners.  It must be difficult in team sports to own a franchise like, say, the CAVS, and basically be stuck in an office somewhere hoping and praying that one fuckin athlete that you helped make famous will decide to stay employed with you.  Because the alternative is that he, and the billions made off his "brand" and "merchandizing" of his name and likeness, will be going elsewhere.
    Cool...makes sense...not fair to the owners, and certainly not fair to the fans...........you know..........the fans............those millions of dopes out there who pay what amounts to half their rent check to take their family to one game to watch one player lead their beloved team to victory.
    But here is what still seems to bother me in the end.  And, let me start off by saying that I have no money or fame, and I am an expert in nothing.....but hear me out here, will ya?  Aren't the owners in charge of saying who get's paid what?  Sure, every athlete (most of which are lucky they passed their SAT so they can get to college for at least a year nowadays) smartly hire agents to do all the hardcore negotiations, which im sure entail many threats, promises, and assurances of the impact they will all make to their employer.  But, in the end, these athletes would be nothing but grown ass men who like to play games if it wasn't for the fat ass paychecks these owners are shelling out to them to do it.
    So, here is my crazy, apparently unrealistic and possibly not well thought out idea: How about the employers all get together, decide what's appropriate to pay these guys to play a game for a living, and stop acting like god damn 8 year olds fighting over wanting one GI JOE or WWE wrestling action figure over the other, and showing willingness to get their mommy and daddy to pay twice what its worth to have it !!!!!!!!!!!  
    What do ya think a that?
