    It's taken me a long time to fully realize what it means to create your own future rather then allow it to "just happen".
    We love to make plans for what shows to record on the DVR, what restaurant to go to, and what strip club to blow our money at.  But when it comes to our future 'life' plans, we always seem to "wing it" and see what happens.
    Far too often we allow others to dictate our future.  We wait for our raise/promotion at work, we wait for Mr. or Mrs. 'Right' to fall into our lap, and we wait on the perfect opportunity to start working on that game-changing idea that could result in a new way of life.  Meanwhile, what happens is that the rich get richer, the poor stay poor, and the middle class stay 'consistent' to keep what little they have.
    Well today is the day that I start to make my own future.  Today is the day that I plan for what makes me happy, without constant fear or concerns for my next pay check (because my paycheck so far has afforded me a small one bedroom apartment anyway)
