Remember when Katt Williams was known for stand-up comedy and movies?

Katt Williams Mug ShotYou gotta love TMZ for this

So, I've kinda been doing some stand-up comedy for awhile now, and I see the 'grind' that comics go through to do their thing and find there way on stage to make it happen.  However, I can't seem to figure out why comics are either dropping like flies (RIP to what seems like 10 or so in the past year), or getting into more legal trouble then NFL and NBA players combined.
I get it, comics are known for having fucked up childhoods, family, friends and relationships.  But I think its starting to get a little ridiculous at this point.
Take Katt Williams for example.  I remember when this guy absolutely blew up (in fame, not ....) because he was rocking stages, and getting into movies. Nowadays, the only time I see this guy in the news is when he get's arrested.  I don't remember once in at least the last year reading about him just having a comedy tour going on so I can get tickets.
I remember years ago hearing about Katt Williams adopting like 7 kids, and giving them a 'better life'.  This was always an amazing story to me.  He really stepped up by doing this.  And he didn't adopt some 3rd world countries kids and sell a documentary on the story to make some money.  He simply realized that he created a better life for himself, and wanted to help others.  Now, this poor guy can't catch a break.
I dont know, anyway, because of that story, I will never bash Katt Williams, but I will say that its dissapointing to see people who've made millions go a little crazy, while the rest of us suffer in an ongoing terrible economy, with little job growth, little chance of obtaining 'the american dream", and with college kids everywhere wondering what the hell they got an Education degree for when schools across the country are laying off teachers..................I'm just sayin.
